"Why does that mean anything, Chelsea?" You're probably wondering, right? Well.. On Saturday, I went to another People to People information meeting, and saw a few old friends, one that actually went to Europe with me recently, and also an old school friend I haven't seen in years, and also Krissy and Marsha, my delegation leaders. One of the things I had to do, though, was stand in front of 160+ people and talk. By myself. Did I mention I get stage frieght pretty easily? But, I was expecting to go up, and plus... I had friends there, watching, loomy, stalking... So I was good- I didn't freak out. In return, I got lots of "Good job, Chelsea!" and "You didn't seem that nervous" after, and as well as a really fancy pin that I put on my hat *which was my Belgium hat, at the time* and its small, and round and says "People to People Student Ambassador 2007" rock my traveling student ambassador soxs ^.^.
"Soo, Chelsea, why are you telling us this?" Good question- why. Why why why? I've always have been traveling- my whole life. I've been down to Ocean City, Maryland 15 times, and it's still growing, I've been to CT (haha XD), Mass, Rhode Island, Penn, New York, Vermont, New Hampsire, Delaware, New Jersey, Nevada, Ohio, Flordia, Georgia, Maryland, DC, and Arizona, and I've been outside of the US: Cancun, Mexico, and my recent Europe trip. I don't want to stop traveling. I love learning new stuff about how other people live, and what their places are like-- outside of flipping text books. As well as that, I have friends all over the world- really. Most of them love talking to me, and some I love to death I won't even LIE about it. I used to fantasize being one of those people whose been everywhere in the world before she dies- you know "Around the World in 50 years?":P.
Adding to that note and the last blog I did, I want to go to Antartica. Ricciness wants to know why- I shall explain for her, and the rest of you oddballs who don't know me well enough to know I'm odd :P.
There's a joke I tell EVERYONE, who says "Where'd Everyone Go" and I would always answer with "Antartica" usually they go something like "Okay-- why?" or just plain look at me funny with an "wtf?" look on their face. My reaction "Hey! It's a cool place to be!" Indeed, it IS a cool place to be, and think of it-- how many flipping people in the world have been to ANTARTICA in their life? Well- I want to be one of those few. This is what we'd do for the week *yes, it's 10k for ONE WEEK the day AFTER CHRISTMAS to go to Antartica.
Journey from the southernmost city in the world, at the tip of South America, into the heart of the Antarctic Peninsula.
Experience Antarctica during the summer, a time when it is exploding with wildlife including penguins, seals, seabirds and whales.
Observe and study the effects that global warming has had on this remote environment and ecosystem.
Participate in hands-on research conducted by a team of international and world-class scientists.
Navigate between icebergs on an ice-rated expedition vessel specially designed for the safety and comfort of its passengers.
Explore the most remote shores of Antarctica using Zodiac boats, the most practical boats of their kind in the world, designed by Jacques Cousteau.
Visit an international research station on the continent that has no official form of government.
Become one of only a handful of young people ever to experience the Antarctic continent.
Make lifelong friendships as you share this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with other People to People Student Ambassador alumni.
Did anyone ever know I'm pretty concerned for what's happening to the Earth? I'm one of those asto-freaks, so when the world is dying, we are too. Did you know that? Betcha didn't... Anyways, that's what we would do down *laugh* there. This is a photo I snagged from the IAAS website:

btw, I know it's small, but it's the best I can do.
Anyways, seeing as this is probably a wholle page long, I'll stop rambling on.xD.
